RITE OF RECONCILIATION WITH GENERAL ABSOLUTION
Because of restrictions imposed due to the ongoing pandemic, our Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Paul Hinder, has given the Vicariates of Northern and Southern Arabia the possibility of General Absolution.
The Brief Rite of General Absolution will be applied by the Bishop's priest representative before the start of the 10 AM mass of the first Friday of the month.
Under special conditions, Absolution is granted to parishioners who:
-
are truly sorry for their sins; this includes those with the intention to stop and change any sinful behaviour.
-
intend to make up, according to their ability, for any scandal or harm caused to others by their sins.
-
will confess to a priest all the mortal sins that are being forgiven once individual confession becomes available.
For more details, please read the full letter from Bishop Paul Hinder here.
